A recent survey analyzed the change in number of film-goers and TV watchers in X city. As is shown by the graph, there has been a sharp decline in the number of film-goers during the period from 1992 to 20xx, adding up to 20,000 in 20xx. On the other hand, the number of TV watchers has steadily increase in the last decade, reaching 150,000 in 20xx. Finally, it is interesting to note that there were as many film-goers as TV watchers in year 1998.
There might be two reason, I think, for the change. Firstly, TV is not only a convenient source of entertainment, but a comparatively cheap one. There is no point in arranging transport. And one needn’t pay for expensive seats at the cinema. Secondly, TV makes it possible for one to keep track of current events and the latest developments in science and technology. As a consequence, most people prefer to stay at home, watching TV, rather than go out to the cinema, which wastes both time and money.
Personally, there are still a lot of people who enjoy watching films. They argue that the film is a fascinating form of art. Sitting comfortably in the cinema, one can appreciate the latest movies, which will usually be shown on TV far later on. Therefore, I trust the number of film-goers will be on the rise in the future.

汉堡式英语作文教学因为文章的开头段和结尾段都非常相似，而最重要的信息则在文章的主干部分中。想想看汉堡的样子：上下两部分是面包—开头和结尾，将汉堡包最重要的部分好好地包裹起来。
所谓汉堡包，不可缺少的有这样几部分：盖、肉、菜、沙拉酱、底。下面我们就一个一个的来分析。
盖：作为一个汉堡包的盖，它的特点是盖住下面的主体部分，是映入人们眼帘的第一样东西。盖住下面的整体部分在作文写作当中，就可以理解为“总领全文”，也就是文章的开头。同学们通常看到上面的半个面包坯，就会想到，“哦，这是一个汉堡包”。而不会想到，这是大米饭。在小学生的作文写作当中，让学生拥有通篇中心意识是很重要的。学生要在开篇的时候就知道自己在写什么，而不是凑一句，是一句。作为盖还有另外一个特点。大部分的汉堡包的面包坯盖都会嵌有一写芝麻。看似简单的芝麻却有着巨大的学问。小小的装饰让人垂涎欲滴，勾起对美味食物的幻想，也让单调的面包不再单调。这就是在作文写作当中，我们要有一个“凤头”：总领下文，又不会喧宾夺主；小而精，给人以遐想的空间，激发读者继续看下去的欲望。这就是“盖”的作用。
肉：在一个汉堡包当中，最为关键的一部分。就是文章当中的主体部分，或者详写部分。肉的内容直接决定了汉堡包的性质：是鸡肉汉堡、牛肉汉堡、鸡腿汉堡、鳕鱼汉堡……；另外，肉的好坏也是汉堡味道的基本。文章的主要内容部分一定要重点叙述，用最大量的笔墨，写的丰满，不能写成“大蘑菇头”式，喧宾夺主。浓墨重彩的部分也要突出， 文章的.好坏这里是最重要的。
菜：菜是和肉相对而言的。如果肉是详写部分，那菜就是略写部分。文章和汉堡一样，都要有详有略，荤素搭配才能好看好吃又有营养。俗话说，红花还得绿叶配，适当的略写可以为文章的主线增光添彩。
沙拉酱：沙拉酱好像是没什么用处，可是一个汉堡包里如果没有它又不行，因为它调节了肉、菜、面包之间的关系，让口感更融洽，更细腻。它就是文章的过渡，承上启下的部分。貌似简单，但却起着很关键的作用。
底：首先，底和盖用的是相同的材料，在文章里就体现为：首尾必须呼应！经常有孩子顾此失彼，写到后面就不知道前面在写什么了。这是让学生注意这一方面的最好提醒。其次，底部还有一个重要的作用。我们在吃汉堡包的时候，一定是拿起来吃的。而拿的时候，要拿什么地方？拿盖？拿肉？拿菜？或者沙拉酱？都不是。是底，必须托底。这样才能拿起来一个完整的汉堡包。也就是说，底有多高，这个汉堡包就有多高。这就是文章升华的高度。汉堡包不被拿起来，是吃不到嘴里的；文章没有高度，是没有意义的。高度的提升，就是作者的思想升华的过程。
下面是写作的方法：

3.Outline your essay into introductory， body and summary paragraphs。

7.Finish the introductory paragraph with a short summary or goal statement。 For example： Technological innovation has thus made the traditional workplace obsolete。

8。 In each of the body paragraphs （usually two or three） the ideas first presented in the introductory paragraph are developed。 Remember that referring to ideas first introduced in the initial paragraph provides structure to your essay。

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

True friends always come to you when their help is in need.They try their best to help you without thinking what they can get from it. This invariably wins them love and respect from otbers, for they devote themselves to the happineof others. Up to the time of my writing this article, Aero has been helping me with my selecting the courses with great effort. He is a friendly and zealous guy. I think he has been liked by others since long ago because of his characteristics. He is always brisk,enthusiastic, energetic and he is smiling no matter when or where you see him. However, I like him for some other reason.It seems that between us there is a special way to communicate and it's not the usual way through which we communicate such as words and gestures. He has always been a friend of mine be cause I like the way he acts and lives and the way we communicate. One morning a week ago, he came to me and asked if he could be of help. Actually I had been worrying about my course of this semester for days since I hadn't got any English courses yet! Still I was totally caught off guard by Aero's offer though he had always been kind. I thought it was my own busineand it had never occurred to me that some other individual would offer to help with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness. The very next day, I got a cough and it later turned out to be a four-day high fever. In those days, I was extremely weak and lay in bed all day long and hardly had any strength even to eat. I lost the power to keep an eye on the possible vacancies of the English courses ever since I got a high fever. I began to regret declining Aero's offer. Just at that moment, Aero called,asking about my health and told me to have a good rest, saying that he would shoulder the responsibility of selecting my English courses for me. Now I am writing this article as the homework of this writing course and I'd like to re emphasize that it is all due to my friend's effort that I have finally made it. I was really grateful to him when he called and offered to help and it is hard to expremy gratitude with words. All I want to say about it is that at that moment, I realized that he had offered to help not because it made him feel he was important but because he meant business. He's a man of integrity. I am proud of having such a friend.
